Intrinsically Disordered Petals
This collection draws on the concept of intrinsically disordered proteins, which lack a fixed structure and exist in a fluid state. Like these proteins, the flowers in my work do not follow a set form. They are frozen, yet their shapes remain open and undefined.
Encased in ice, the blooms reflect the transient nature of life. They hold moments we try to keep still, shaped by both external forces and their own fragility. These photographs are not digitally altered. They show the subject as it is in front of my lens.
Intrinsically Disordered Petals is a study of impermanence, resilience, and the structure within disorder. Through these images, I want the viewer to see the value in change and the meaning that can be found in uncertainty.
